One of the most tragic situations today is the plight of the “dogs of war” -- the pups and strays in Iraq. Their life is one of daily abuse compounded by the horrors of war. A few have found comfort with our soldiers. One even travelled across sixty-five miles of desert to find the soldier who'd shown him kindness. being rescued and given homes with their military families in the U.S., but it's expensive.  SPCA International has set up Operation Baghdad Pups to help our soldiers with costs that run into thousands of dollars.
